Frequently asked questions
How does LP tracking work?
Riot's API only reports your current LP, never how much a game was worth. LeagueCheck stores a snapshot of your rank every time your profile is refreshed. When exactly one ranked game was played between two snapshots, the difference is shown next to that game. Refresh your profile after each game for the most complete LP history.
How often are the statistics updated?
Champion, item and matchup statistics are rebuilt every hour from the ranked games collected in the background. Profiles refresh when you press Update (at most once every two minutes) and automatically when they are older than an hour.
What does the tier (S, A, B, C, D) mean?
Champions in each role are ranked by a score that combines a sample-size-adjusted win rate with pick rate and ban rate. The top 8% are S tier, the next 17% A, then B, C and D. Champions with too few games get no tier at all rather than a misleading one.
Where do the coaching tips come from?
They are computed from your last 30 ranked games and compared with typical values for your rank: CS per minute, deaths, vision score, kill participation, damage share, laning results, champion pool, tilt after losses and session length. They are rules, not opinions — every tip states the number behind it.
Why is a player not found?
Riot IDs consist of a name and a tag (for example Faker #KR1). Make sure the tag is right and the region matches the account's server. Recently renamed accounts appear under the new name after their profile is refreshed.
Is LeagueCheck free?
Yes, completely. There are no premium tiers, no accounts and no ads.
Is LeagueCheck affiliated with Riot Games?
No. LeagueCheck is an independent fan project that uses the official Riot Games API under Riot's developer policies.
